Therapy is an important part of any mental health treatment plan. A good therapists offers a safe nonjudgmental space to help you process life’s struggles. For me, therapy is essential for staving off seasonal depression.
In my quest to stave off seasonal depression before it starts, I’m treating a chronic IT Band pain with a relaxing massage. Treating physical pain and illness helps reduce emotional vulnerability, and makes it easier to manage depression.
Last years season depression took me by surprise. This year I’m going to be prepared. I’m starting now to shore myself up to stave off seasonal depression, and I challenge you to join me.
